Legends of Agyria is my brainchild of late 2007, originally existing mostly in a variety of notebook sketches and scattered plot and character concepts. Things slowly came together and led me to sketch out the first few pages over Christmas break of that year, more to stave off boredom than for any other reason. I toyed with the idea of posting them to the 'net then, and then discarded the idea on the premise that I didn't want to start something I'd never finish, and that it was more important to spend my free time with things like grades, books, and Zelda games.
The idea, however, was there, and it gnawed away at my subconscious with more plots and more characters. Eventually it manifested itself in comic form again - and I did decide that, with the advent of my much-anticipated summer vacation, I would post my beginning pages to the Internet and spend my newfound summerly free time on the comic. Perhaps with the encouragement of others I'd find more motivation to continue onward with the comic - and if I planned plot arcs carefully, if I did give it up, I'd at least be able to leave loose threads at a minimum. And in any and all cases, it'd be good exercise for my artistic abilities, and a test of how well I could carry an entirely fictional plot to an audience - even in comic form, which is a good deal different from my preferred medium of plain written word.
And here we are now: Summer vacation, and a webcomic is born. Enjoy.
